Stitch a Photo pattern where I get it

I just received an email asking me about how to make a photo pattern. I have a software for making my own photo pattern. But I also have some patterns made via http://www.focusglobalinc.com/ in Manila and of course via http://borduureenfoto.nl/. Both are trusted sites where I have more than once ordered a pattern in the past. You have to pay first before they send you the pattern.

Its a Flop again

My experiment is definitely not okay. It is already a big flop, using an ordinary cloth and too much strands doesn't compensate the holes in the aida cloth which are not uniform in sizes. I should never stitched on black again because my eyes is no good anymore in dark color. Next time I have to pay attention with blocking colors. This is going to be my next challenge. I recognize myself, alright, but the finish product is not okay. Thank God I stashed DMC threads in my baggage before returning to Belgium. 3 pieces for 1 euro back in PH against 1 euro and 30 cents each here in Belgium means I have to work only for my hobby. At least I figure it out that it doesn't matter what software is used for pattern making. It also depends on how it is stitched and the materials of course. This is my last experiment. I got to have a week break on cross stitching and rest my eyes before I try it on white cloth. My sewing room is ready and if I'm lucky I'll have a summer dress before end of the week. But tomorrow is a big clean up day. :)

Testing a photo pattern

I have had successful photo stitches in the past, some of which I cannot publish here because the subject paid me for doing it. But I also have some unsatisfying works still rolled in the cabinet. Aside from stitching a wrong photo, with bad shots and very little pixels. I have noticed I do not care a lot if its mine. I was very careful if its for someone else. So I thought about learning how to do it right. The first thing I set my mind on doing is test a photo pattern of myself. Which pattern I ordered somewhere else.

So I am now busy with this:

In this pattern: I stitched it just like my normal nonchalance ways. It doesn't have to be in a special fabric, using DMC as I always prefer it from Anchor.

Secondly, I will not change any color, It is supposed to be in black, so I stitched it black.

Then I will see later on what did I do wrong. It seems perfect until now, but little by little I begin to see here in there something wrong. And I am pretty sure I can find my own solution, otherwise its not fun anymore stitching a photo. I like it very much, though its a computer manipulated pattern. We stitchers puts life in it. I used to be somebody who is happy about the amount of works I have done. But Its time to add a little or more quality this time, even if it takes me years to finish it.

End of Sewing class

pretty sad our sew class is finished this day, got to wait again til the 2nd week of September, glad I could finish up two trial and error pattern. All I got to do is look for a nice fabric to redo it. I'll show some photo very soon.

Ready to sew more

I've just finished working on my sewing room, it took me 5 hours to put everything back in order. I guess I have to try spend or waste my time in there in the next few days. I couldn't trust the weather here in Belgium so I got to make the most out of the so called summer period. I absolutely got lots of new ideas this time. Besides I have to familiarize myself with my brand new singer machine.

Which I bought to bring back in the PH next year. but the reason I bought one so early is to be able to get used to it while I'm still here in case it malfunction, I can bring it back to the store. But no, I hope its not gonna happen what happen to the first one. :)
